Choosing to focus on YOU can feel like a radical act. Maybe you feel like you don’t have the time or the resources or the privilege of putting yourself first, but what you may not know is that choosing to focus on YOU is an empowerment! During these stressful and confusing times, centering on the self is more than worthwhile. For when we are grounded and grow, the world around us and the important relationships in our orbit, inevitably grow too. 

I am a psychodynamically trained therapist with over 20 years of experience helping clients to find their voice, gain insight into their relationship dynamics, get familiar with their emotional landscapes, and change old patterns of relating to one’s self and others. As a psychodynamically trained therapist with a background in long term psychotherapy, family therapy, and infant-parent psychotherapy, I enjoy working with clients with a range of issues such as self worth, parenting, relationships, perimenopause, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, peripartum issues, & life adjustment challenges.

Often life shows us our humanity in the most unexpected and uncomfortable of ways. A stress deep in the body, a conflict, an emotional tension that just won’t go away. Maybe you aren’t feeling like yourself, unsure of how to deal with feelings that may leave you overwhelmed or depleted. It could be you just had a new baby or have gone through a painful breakup. Or perhaps you find yourself in a life stage that is challenging to your identity such as perimenopause, retirement or aging. Maybe you are struggling with your relationship to others or, more profoundly, struggling with the relationship that you have with yourself.

Therapy can help us get unstuck and navigate through times of suffering. It can be a safe space for our own light to shine brighter, a space to gain clarity and insight into our selves, our thoughts, & the ingrained patterns of relating that might not be serving us anymore.
